Why do I write these blogs? Do I have a big mouth?
So why bother with these blogs?
The honest answer is I feel a close bond with the families I have looked after and I want the best for them especially the babies and children.
I want to inform them from what seems to be increasing threats to the Australian way of life.
I also think it will be the mothers of these children who will be needed to step up and demand what is in their interests. Its clear many powerful entities and their minions hate the family unit. Hate is such a strong word its hard to believe but sadly its true. While the mothers of the country were run off their feet and exhausted their enemies have plotted and they are many.
Its becoming clear that the health service and choice mums have had in Australia is changing. Four private maternity units have closed in the last 24 months and Healthscope, who own Newcastle Private, is insolvent. We’ve recently been sold off again so we’ll see what happens.
On top of this background we see this article in the government propaganda and real estate pumping rag, the Sydney Morning Herald, calling for more closures.
When I came to Australia I marveled at its health system and was shocked when I soon realised it was far superior to the National Health Service of the UK where BBC propaganda (the BBC is the carbon copy of the ABC here in Australia) had led me to believe it was the best in the world. Its quite a shock realising that an organisation you grew up trusting had been straight-up lying to you and the whole country the entire time.
The superior system here was due to the roughly 33/67% private/public balance where some VMO doctors were doing at least 4 or 5 times the numbers of births and surgeries compared with their public colleagues so practically standards were high and the teaching was excellent.
In my local hospital when the VMO’s were not re-employed standards instantly dropped and they have taken a decade to recover.
With lower standards the birth of the country’s babies could become like what has happened in the NHS of the UK which sounds like a nightmare.
This is an absolutely terrifying dive into our future. Are we not always 10 years behind the UK?
The dreamers assume the best doctors would have to stay in the public system but what I’m telling you is that talent only takes you so far and experience the rest of the way. That experience does not happen as a public specialist.
So the academics and journalists will probably get their wish of private health only being for the very wealthy.
Ten years from now there won’t be any doctor in Australia who has delivered 8000 babies, as I have, and I feel sad about that.
The younger doctors have been indoctrinated to like the public set up of punch in - punch out anonymity with less responsibility on their shoulders at just the public hospital. Also when you are light on experience the private hospital is scary with no one around to save your bacon when the chips are down. So why not take the option with less stress and good super?
So the patients will wait in line and take what they get and don’t get upset. I think we all dread having to go to the local A+E department these days.
Except some won’t. You can be sure that our great leaders will demand to be first in line.
Many years ago when working at the public hospital I actually looked after a journo who worked at the SMH. She made it clear to everyone she expected the entire department to be at her beck and call 24 hours a day. When it was explained to her that the public hospital did not work this way I can still remember her little foot stamp and petulant sniff that had always worked so well with daddy or at private school with her mean girlfriends in tow. Champagne socialists will only get in line with the plebs when it suits them and not if push comes to shove. Their hypocrisy annoys me.
In summary its a 3 pronged attack.
1) This government especially with giving no encouragement or support to start or grow a family.
2) The media pushing that same message. I've lost count the number of egg freezing articles I've noted in the SMH. As if its awesome. I've delivered many a bub from a frozen embryo but none from egg-freezing as far as I'm aware.
3) Doctors themselves. For letting the above 2 get the upper hand.
This story may be continued on an account I’ve heard about on Twitter X. The poor guy never thought he’d have to get political but things do seem to be spiralling. So for medical inside knowledge, truth bombs and edgy memes check out this person...

I know X (Twitter) can get a bad rep and Elon Musk draws differing opinions but it suits my broody Scot disposition to see whats really going on in the country and follow truthseekers like DownUnderOB!
